Treatment of anal abscesses and fistulas
FiXcision is a surgical invasive multi-part cutting instrument for anal fistula treatment in coloproctology.
- FiXcision consists of a probe, guide, base plate and circular cutter
- The probe and the base plate can be connected to the guide. The guide features a marking (indicator) to check whether the complete length of the anal fistula channel can be covered and cut by the circular cutter.

Functioning principles of FiXcision
Probe
- FiXcision enables circumferential tissue removal within/during the treatment of anal fistulas.
- The probe is screwed onto the guide and the device is inserted into the anal fistula tract. The probe may be bent before insertion, if necessary.
Base plate and circular cutter
- After insertion, the probe is replaced by the base plate, which later serves as the endpoint of the cutting process, as the circular cutter cannot pass it.
- The cutting process is performed by pushing the circular cutter forward with a left/right rotation, until the circular cutter has contact with the base plate.
